Lawrence Herbert School of Communication

The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University is one of the nation’s premiere programs for journalism, film, broadcasting, strategic communication and other media disciplines. It features multiple television studios, a national-award-winning radio station, and extensive facilities for film production and digital media. The school’s students regularly win major national and regional journalism and media awards. Variety magazine lists the Herbert School as a Top 30 film school – due in part to its excellent faculty and small classes. Since 2022, The Herbert School has been the home of ABC7’s Long Island Bureau.
